Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 | Neues Tool mit Update Rollup 15

Kürzlich hatte ich in einem Support-Fall das Problem, dass die Duplikaterkennungsregeln bei der Konvertierung von Leads zu Kontakten/Firmen nicht “griffen”. Glücklicherweise hat Microsoft mit Update Rollup 15 ein neues Tool bereitgestellt, mit dem ich das Problem schnell und “supported” lösen konnte.

Das Tool namens Microsoft.crm.se.orgdborgsettingstool.exe bietet die Möglichkeit Organisationseinstellungen auszulesen und Parameter via Update-Befehl auf die gewünschten Werte festzulegen.

An das Tool ist ziemlich einfach heranzukommen. Hierzu extrahiert Ihr das UR 15-Paket über die Eingabeaufforderung in eine Verzeichnis Eurer Wahl.

Im Ordner Tools\orgdbsettingstool findet sich dann besagtes, sowie eine .config-Datei, die Ihr vorab der Nutzung noch gemäß Eurer Systemumgebung anpassen müsst.

Näheres hierzu findet Ihr unter KB 2479288.

Zur Lösung o.g. Problems habe ich für die Organisation die Parameter ausgelesen und fand unter dem Parameter

RunDuplicateDetectionDuringLeadConversionProcess Boolean False

ein “False”. Dies mit dem Update-Befehl auf True gesetzt löste mein Problem.

Viel Spaß bei der Kontrolle Eurer Umgebung. Übrigens: Es finden sich noch mehr nützliche Tools im extrahierten UR, wie z.B. granthiddenprivileges oder auf das hier schon beschriebene regenerateviewstool.
